POSITION OVERVIEW

A technician is responsible for performing general and preventive maintenance on the electrical and mechanical systems. The technician will report to the Transportation Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Regular and predictable attendance
• Follow safety rules and work in a manner that is conducive to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace
• Perform preventative maintenance procedures as scheduled
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment and building systems
• Assist and train other internal and contracted maintenance technicians
• Assist contractors with repairs, revisions, construction, and new equipment setup
• Always make safety a priority
• Perform some janitorial services, includes but is not limited to trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mowing/ bush hogging, carpet cleaning, painting different areas of the warehouse/ parking lots, etc.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience
