Crave new challenges by solving difficult customer problems using emerging technology? We are seeking an IT Project Manager to help lead various enterprise application teams for a U.S. Navy client. The right candidate will have the ability to provide oversight to multiple application teams, communicate effectively, collaborate with development teams, and build client relationships.

As an IT Project Manager on our team, you will have the right mix of management and technical skills to help successfully deliver cross-functional data and analytic solutions. You will have exceptional organizational, project management, and technical acumen. You will work in tandem with the Program Manager to provide oversight and accountability for various tasks related to the delivery, management, maintenance, and evolution of analytic capabilities and enterprise applications. You will maintain responsibility for client deliverables, scheduling, and determining and acquiring needed resources. You will have experience with project definition, development or enhancement efforts including cost management or avoidance, schedule estimation and tracking, contract performance management, risk management, requirements analysis, and quality assurance activities. You will assist with maintaining awareness of the entire enterprise applications program scope and keeping awareness of deadlines to ensure on-time delivery. You will be empowered to assist with leading a team that includes data scientists, science and technology analysts, data engineers, software engineers, cloud architects, and communication analysts.

You Have: 

  • 5+ years of experience with IT project management managing software development that involve analytics or data science and machine learning projects

  • 3+ years of experience with managing projects that include numerous workstreams, requiring adjusting to shifting priorities and identifying and solving issues

  • Experience managing the development of large-scale data analytics and machine learning platforms in or for an S&T mission focused organization

  • Experience defining business requirements, defining and developing projects, and planning and implementing IT strategy

  • Ability to track strategy implementation, track plans, activities, and milestones, coordinate activities and deliverables across the program team members and manage costs, and report to executive leadership

  • Ability to analyze and manage project risks and issues and manage client’s expectations and satisfaction by performing quality assurance on all deliverables, managing performance, managing stakeholder relationships, managing contract performance, and tracking deliverable development and sign-off 

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Scrum Master certification, and COMPTIA Security+ CE certification

  

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with the DoD or a Federal Agency

  • Experience with leading transformation initiatives in large organizations

  • Experience improving productivity of technical teams

  • Experience with cloud-based solutions 

  • Ability to manage costs, estimate and track schedules, and manage contract performance
