IGS is currently recruiting a remote Quality Assurance Analyst, Sr. to support our work with Indian Health Service (IHS).
Assignment of Work and Travel:
This is a remote access assignment. Candidates will work remotely daily and will remotely access IHS systems and therein use approved IHS provided communications systems. Travel is not required; however, the candidate may be required to attend onsite client meetings as requested.
Responsibilities and Duties (Included but not limited to):
In support of the Indian Health Service, the Quality Assurance Analyst, Sr. would provide QA/QC related support for the Software Quality Assurance Project. The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst position will be responsible for ensuring that supported software products, associated documentation, work products, activities, and processes conform to established government and Health Information Technology standards. This position requires integrating established standards, proposing process enhancements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the quality assurance framework, and providing a range of services, including process improvements, corrective action planning, change request processing, and status reporting. This role plays a critical part in ensuring software quality, compliance, and successful project delivery throughout the software development lifecycle. It encompasses both QA and QC responsibilities contributing to the production of high-quality software products and documentation.
- Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle for software development with emphasis on analysis of project requirements, software build deployment, Alpha/Beta coordination, release management, and SQA server maintenance in accordance with vigorous SOPs set forth by IHS.
- Coordinate, monitor, track, report, and support multiple projects through User Acceptance (Alpha/Beta) Testing.
- Review software products and documentation for correctness, adherence to the user requirements and government standards and conventions.
- Conduct testing by installing software, analyzing and verifying test cases/scripts, and reporting issues to project teams to ensure that software functions as expected based on requirements set by users and established SOPs.
- Provide manual test execution, results, defects, and related testing metrics for deployment iterations.
- Provide status of software verification results to project teams and associated stakeholders.
- Coordinate with developers/project team to ensure that issues are rectified in a timely manner.
- Participate in deploying / installing software in multiple Windows and UNIX (AIX) environments and technologies (e.g., GUI; Web-based Applications; .NET; Tomcat; Java; cache.dat)
- Analyze, develop and execute manual Test Cases; maintain Test Plans and Test Suites.
- Verify defects (findings) and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high quality software.
- Participate in writing, implementing, and reporting on improvements to quality assurance testing processes for systems and applications.
- Support implementation of the new strategies to improve testing efficiency and productivity, with a positive outlook to adapt to changes.
- Manage and install software builds across various environments and manage version control systems
- Ensure server maintenance, system updates, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor system performance and ensure optimal functionality.
- Document technical issues and solutions within established SOPs and/or User manuals.
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives.
- Ensure data security and privacy.
- Manage user accounts and access permissions for test environments.
- Perform regular system backups and recovery procedures, as guided in the SOP(s).

- Minimum BS/BA degree
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as QA Analyst, Test Engineer, UAT Coordinator or similar role(s).
