We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst - Portfolio who will be responsible for portfolio and performance management, financial modeling, planning, reporting and analysis of PlayStation Studios (PSS). This position reports to Finance Director for PlayStation Studios.
Responsibilities:
- Support the financial portfolio management framework for PSS, driving the analysis of the portfolio performance, using metrics and data visualization effectively to support partners in making informed decisions regarding the optimization of the portfolio of products. Responsible for analyzing performance indicators to determine overall portfolio health, as well as each of the title’s performance, identification and evaluation of portfolio candidates, investment decisions and resource allocation.
- Perform structured and ad hoc financial analysis of individual titles, translating the analysis into storytelling presentations for a diverse range of internal partners (PSS Leadership Team, SIE Corporate Planning, Sony Group, etc.), and working alongside the organization on designing corrective actions
- Manage the financial performance management framework for the portfolio of PlayStation Studios. Monitor and report on delivery of (financial) performance targets set by PSS LT. Develop and maintain reports and dashboards.
- Support Financial Planning and Analysis of the portfolio of PlayStations Studios: mid-range planning (MRP), annual planning, quarterly business reviews, budgeting
- Search and support implementation of changes, improvements, and simplification around financial reporting. Support improvement projects within PlayStation Studios Finance
- Provide ad-hoc analysis for the leadership team. Support business decision-making at any stage of title lifecycle by providing objective financial business case
- Stay up to date with gaming industry trends and benchmarking analysis. Stay apprised of broader industry developments and key business metrics
Qualifications & Skills:
- BA/BS in business, strategy, finance, economics or related field; MBA and/or CFA designation preferred
- 5+ years of financial portfolio management and modeling, FP&A experience
- Experience with developing sophisticated financial analysis, modeling, budgeting and reporting/dashboarding tools
- Experience in gaming industry and/or in consulting strongly preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong data analysis and financial modeling skills
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, planning and data tools
