We are currently looking for a talented, motivated, and ambitious Senior Architect to join our New York office. You will work closely with Partners, Project Architects, and Managers throughout all project phases—leading or assisting in design development, documentation, team coordination, and construction-phase collaboration. As a Senior Architect, you will report to the Senior Project Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Defending BIG’s design intent throughout all phases
  • Managing client relationships and leading communication across clients, consultant teams, project teams, vendors, and permitting officials

  • Overseeing production of contract documents

  • Managing and mentoring team members

  • Providing technical guidance and innovative solutions to complex design and technical challenges


Requirements

  • A professional degree in Architecture
  • 8+ years of architecture experience working on all phases of a single project
  • Licensed in NY and/or CA
  • Experience with Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, and MS Office
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes and construction documentation
  • Construction Administration experience, including field observation

Salary range: $97,000 - $133,000 
(The salary offered will be based on the length and relevance of the candidate's work history and the skills developed through their professional experiences.)
