Global Localization Director

Position: Global Localization Director

Job Objective: The Global Localization Director will spearhead the localization efforts across all global sites, instituting robust operational and quality processes. This role involves ensuring consistent implementation of tools and workflows, as well as enhancing delivery quality. The Director will focus on elevating translation trial success rates, client satisfaction, and team capabilities to efficiently cover incoming work, while further advancing delivery quality.

Roles and Core Responsibilities: Responsibilities Include:

• Lead global translation teams to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality LOC projects within budget, guaranteeing customer satisfaction.
• Understand client communication, conduct needs assessments, and collaborate with Project Managers to formulate quotes and schedules for incoming LOC projects.
• Oversee ongoing translation project progress, regularly reviewing project quality with team leaders and project managers to meet established standards.
• Ensure adherence to established workflows and project guidelines across global teams in alignment with other PTW studios.
• Identify and communicate potential business obstacles, ensuring smooth localization workflows.
• Ensure effective and compliant operation of LOC departments globally, aligning with company guidelines to deliver exceptional customer service.

Requirements

Requirements: Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

• 7-10 years of experience in the games/audio localization industry.
• 5+ years of leadership experience
• Strong leadership skill
• Experienced managing a global team of localization.
• Customer-facing or account management experience.
• Strong commercial acumen.
• Proficient in business software applications, including Microsoft Office.
• Expertise in CAT tools (e.g., Trados, MemoQ, XTM, etc.).
• Preferably, experience in the video games industry.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in team leadership.
• Demonstrates proactive behavior.
• Capacity to innovate operations and identify opportunities.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Maintains a positive "can do" attitude and optimistic outlook.
