If so, we invite you to take on a pivotal role as a Principal EMI EMC Engineer in our dynamic team.

As a Principal EMI EMC Engineer, you will lead advanced EMI/EMC analysis, testing, and design integration for cutting-edge aerospace and defense technologies. You will drive strategic initiatives, mentor engineers, and provide technical leadership to ensure compliance with rigorous industry standards such as MIL-STD-461 and DO-160. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping the future of our products, ensuring they meet and exceed performance expectations in demanding environments.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the technical authority for EMI/EMC engineering efforts, guiding cross-functional teams and providing expertise on compliance, analysis, and design integration.

  • Develop and execute advanced EMI/EMC control plans, strategies, and test procedures to mitigate risks and optimize system performance.

  • Lead and oversee EMC/EMI testing in accordance with industry standards, including MIL-STD-461 and DO-160, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in EMI/EMC engineering practices.

  • Collaborate with product design teams to integrate EMI/EMC considerations from concept through production, ensuring robust system performance.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of EMI/EMC issues, recommending and implementing innovative solutions.

  • Evaluate and select materials, components, and shielding techniques to enhance EMI/EMC performance.

  • Author and review technical reports, test documentation, and compliance certifications for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Engage with regulatory bodies, customers, and industry groups to stay ahead of evolving standards and best practices in EMI/EMC engineering.

  • Support audits, reviews, and compliance activities to ensure adherence to contractual and regulatory obligations.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Working experience in EMI/EMC analysis, test, and troubleshooting, particularly in aerospace or defense applications.

  • Working experience in MIL-STD-461, DO-160, and other industry standards for electromagnetic compatibility.

  • Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of mentoring engineers and driving complex technical projects.

  • Hands-on experience with EMI/EMC test equipment, simulations, and mitigation techniques.

  • Deep understanding of electromagnetic physics, materials science, and shielding technologies.
