AI Analytics & Business Strategy Intern

This internship provides an opportunity to work at the intersection of AI, analytics, and business strategy. The intern will support Instawork's Business Operations team to leverage generative AI to drive innovation in business intelligence and strategy, with a focus on automation, efficiency, and extracting deeper insights from structured and unstructured data.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with experimenting and augmenting generative AI capabilities to: 

1. Design flexible pipelines to analyze unstructured qualitative data at scale (customer feedback, support tickets, etc.) 
2. Create interactive, AI-powered dashboards that dynamically visualize key metrics
3. Build diagnostic systems that automatically detect anomalies in important metrics and provide potential root cause analysis

• Drive the success of our Partner acquisition efforts to develop tools and reporting frameworks with our Go-To-Market team, e.g.:

1. Leverage AI to improve a sales lead generation engine via data enrichment, workflow automation, and lead tracking tools
2. Codify learnings into a scalable playbook for our GTM stakeholders
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational growth initiatives and contribute to process improvement and efficiency

Who You Are:

• Passion for innovation and a commitment to staying updated on the latest advancements in AI technologies and tools
• Detail-oriented with a strong passion for problem-solving
• Curious mindset with willingness to experiment with new ideas and implement practical solutions
• Algorithmic problem-solving experience and proficiency in at least one programming language
• Strong SQL proficiency and an understanding of basic statistical methods
• Experience building data visualizations and dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Mode, Tableau) or scripting languages (e.g., Python, R)
• Effective communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Collaborative approach and ability to work well in cross-functional teams

Preferred Skills:

• Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals preferred
• Familiarity with advanced analytics techniques and machine learning algorithms preferred

Relevant skills can be demonstrated through coursework, personal projects, hackathons, or prior work experience.

For CA based applicants:

• The pay range for this position is $40-$44 hourly.

A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above.
