Key Details:
Hybrid Program: This internship is a hybrid program based in Miami, Florida. Students must be available for the entire duration of the program and willing to work a hybrid schedule, combining both in-office and remote work. This is a full-time opportunity, with interns working 40 hours per week. While hours may vary, interns can expect to work from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
Relocation Support: Carnival provides housing for interns who are relocating to Miami for the summer.
Eligibility: Juniors, seniors, and graduate students are preferred for the program.
Technical Requirements: Interns will be provided with a company-issued laptop and will need reliable internet when working remotely.

Communications and Events
Department Summary:
The Department of Communications and Events is responsible for external and internal communications for Carnival Cruise Line with the goals of 1) enhancing the brand’s reputation and 2) supporting key business objectives. The work is led by a dynamic team of communications professionals who manage media relations, special events, employee communications, community engagement and government affairs, and guest communications (for any updates that need to be shared with guests prior to their sailings). The team develops strategy and messaging and executes all this outreach through a variety of tools, including emails, newsletters, meetings/celebrations/press events, press releases and other means.
Internship Project Summary:
Project Title: Community Engagement Planning and Execution
Objective: The intern will assist in coordinating community/press events, enhancing and executing stakeholder email communications, researching government officials and issues, and updating the web page about CCL’s community engagement work.
Essential Functions:
Assist in the development of event materials such as project tracker, event schedule, guest list and RSVPs.
Help with the content creation for quarterly stakeholder email and manage updates to stakeholder email contact list.
Gather background information and materials for meetings with government and port officials.
Develop web page content for page about CCL’s community engagement work.
Assist with weekly employee newsletter content development—about engagement work, the internship program and other assignments as needed.
