About the role
CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) is a nonprofitorganization whose mission is to build sustained, community-basedresponse programs to natural disasters. In response to the COVID-19pandemic, CORE GA provides free vaccinations and additionalresources to disadvantaged communities and emerging hotspotsaround Georgia. This is accomplished through maintaining strategicpartnerships with local health agencies and community-basedorganizations to reach high-risk populations in vulnerable areas.
CORE’s mobile public health teams require the Assistant TeamSupervisor to support the initiatives in these communities, and toprovide operational and outreach assistance and a strong face to thepublic. The Assistant Team Supervisor will support the coordinationand operations of vaccination events and health outreach eventsthroughout the local health district.
This is a hybrid position and will be in the field a minimum of 3 daysa week. Additionally, it is a contracted role slated to end 05/31/2025

Main Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, local businesses, and healthcare providers to expand outreach efforts
- Coordinate vaccination and outreach sites across the health district and serve as point of contact for all communications
- Support with mobile public health unit, including staff, site setup, operations, and breakdown
- Assist in managing equipment, supply and vaccine inventory, including monthly inventory check
- Monitor daily site operations and adapt to frequent changes
- Submit mandatory data reporting and maintain accurate records
- Engage with community members and leaders to provide updated health education
- Research, verify and link participants to additional community-based resources
- Distribute health supplies (e.g., Narcan, test kits, etc.)
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with program guidelines, policies, workflows, and reporting measures and structures
- Develop and implement new public health programming for respective areas
- Other duties as assigned
Scope and Travel:
- No direct reports
- Comfortable traveling up to 1-3 hours from operational hub in a company vehicle or personal vehicle
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years of public health experience in a community setting
- Available Full-Time, 40 hours a week, including weekends (weekly schedule varies)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Live within 25 miles of the local operational hub
- Access to reliable transportation
- Comfortable working outdoors throughout the year
- Meets eligibility requirements to drive a CORE vehicle
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience working with underserved/under
- resources communities
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent analytical skills, observation and analysis capacity
- Very good knowledge of G-Suite and Microsoft Office (including MS Word, Excel)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective information sharing
- Aptitude for identifying issues and developing effective solutions
- Skills to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- Ability to create and foster a collaborative team environment
- Understanding and valuing diversity within the community, team, and organization
- Fluency in another language, preferred
- Flexibility to adjust to changes in the workplace and manage unexpected challenges
