About the role

Provides leadership and oversight. Develops, plans and evaluates internal audit programs for the organization's accounting, statistical records, information systems and related procedures to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and standards. Audits accounting records of contract agreements in which the organization is involved. Audits finance and similar information systems applications. Advises others on internal controls and security procedures. Prepares reports for management on the results of audits, providing recommendations on improvements. Interfaces with and assists outside auditors to expedite their work.

  • Provides overall functional support and technical expertise across the Internal Audit group.
  • Assists in the development of an enterprise-wide business risk assessment plan.
  • Takes a leadership role on individual audits, including: Establishing objectives and scope.
  • Evaluating audit risks and evidence.
  • Ensuring execution in accordance with the annual audit plan and industry standards.
  • Reviews the work of Financial / Operational and IT Audit teams.
  • Demonstrates commitment to a business partnership with operating management.
  • Prepares draft reports that clearly communicate issues and proposed solutions to management and the Board.
  • Supports and oversees Internal Audit's work related to the company's financial reporting and internal controls processes.
  • Ensures active coordination between Internal Audit and external auditors.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Typically has 10-12 years of experience in Internal Audit and typically 4-6 years leadership experience.
  • Fluent business English skills (Written and spoken).
