Utility Houseperson (UNION) Bellagio

THE JOB:

It is the primary responsibility of the Utility Houseperson to contribute to maintaining the cleanliness of the Bellagio property.  You will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.

THE STARTING PAY:  $22.716 / Per Hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Maintain cleanliness of carpets, upholstery, glass table tops, and windows; polish marble, and rearrange furniture in guest rooms as requested
• Utilize bonnet machines, extraction tools, and CFR (furniture cleaning machine) to remove stains from chairs, couches, etc.
• Perform bonnet cleaning for 25 rooms and shampooing for 15 rooms per day
• Handle cleaning of biohazard areas
• Conduct general cleaning of guest rooms and hallways
• Perform thorough dusting of high and elevated areas
• Remove marks, dirt, and dust from baseboards
• Pull beds away from walls to dust behind headboards
• Deliver various linens such as sheets, pillowcases, and terry items to floors, and replenish linen supplies in Guest Room Attendant locker rooms
• Report any torn carpet, wall finishes, or damaged furniture requiring repair
• Safely install and remove air purifiers/ozone machines while adhering to safety standards
• Report any maintenance calls to supervisor
• Performs all other job-related duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• 18 Years of age or older
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
• Must be able to lift at least eighty (80) lbs. at a time, have physical stamina, and proper mental attitude to deal effectively with guests, management, and other employees

 THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Six (6) months of previous cleaning experience in a similar resort style setting
• Six (6) months of previous experience with maintenance on various floor surfaces using related cleaning, buffing, and extraction equipment
• Working knowledge of cleaning equipment, supplies, and chemicals used daily
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Able to effectively communicate in both English and Spanish, in both written and verbal forms
• Professional appearance and demeanor
