Job Description Summary:
The Human Insights Senior Analyst will play a key role in supporting the Human Insights North America Operating Unit (NAOU) in support of the team’s partnership across Marketing and Commercial insights initiatives. The role will primarily support needs for consumer, customer and marketplace research and analytics. This will include developing reports, sharing trends, responding to supplier RFPs, reviewing and programming questionnaires, and analysis of custom and syndicated research related to a wide range of topics from brand strategy and tracking, communication, innovation, packaging, selling stories, etc. This role will interface directly with other cross functional teams across the organization, (within the NAOU and globally) to ensure effective cross-pollination of knowledge across the newly networked organization and inform strategic initiatives using the power of data, analysis and insights.
This role requires knowledge of custom research techniques and syndicated marketing intelligence sources, with a strong aptitude for continuous learning, strong communication skills (written, verbal and visual) and comfort working in a fast-paced, networked environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in both custom research and syndicated market data, but strength in one with an aptitude and inherent desire to learn will be considered.
What You’ll Do For US:
Partner across the Insights team to integrate existing insights from internal and syndicated sources, informing strategic priorities and developing brand and category factbooks grounded in consumer and shopper insights
Support custom research as needs arise from research proposal generation and supplier conversations & selection, to questionnaire & report preparation. Manage various aspects of supplier relationships including reviewing methodologies, initiating & reviewing fieldwork, executing analytic plans and generating final reports/presentations
Support the commercialization of consumer trends, and monthly/quarterly scorecards to inform Marketing and Commercial teams on key drivers of performance
Maintain knowledge library of insights to serve networked community across the NAOU and global networks
Mine existing data from foundational survey platforms (BevMAP, Bev360, CBL, iSHOP, DINE) and syndicated data sources (Nielsen Scantrack, Numerator Insights, Simmons, Kantar U.S. and Canada Monitors, etc)
Assist in liaison between Marketing Operations and Platform Services to continue to optimize analytic tools and consumer metrics tracking, and inform the Human Insights team with updates to tools
Role requires routine interaction across the Insights team, with Associate Brand Managers & Brand Managers and Category Leadership associates
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum:
Bachelor's Degree in social sciences or business-related fields
3+ years of experience in marketing research, conducting custom research and/or marketing analytics/business intelligence
Experience in working directly with marketing or sales teams and designing, executing, and analyzing primary & secondary data
Preferred:
5+ years of experience in custom research working for or with a Consumer Packaged Goods manufacturer
Master’s coursework or degree in social sciences or business-related fields is a plus
Functional Skills
Communication Skills: Communicate complex information and implications both verbally and in written presentations, utilizing "storytelling techniques" to communicate a clear, compelling and cohesive story
Marketing Research Knowledge: Knowledge of custom research methodologies and some industry resources (e.g., Ipsos/Kantar, Nielsen/IRI, Mintel, NPD, Numerator, etc.)
Analytic Skills: Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify patterns, opportunities and gaps, and integrate across disparate data sources
Technical Familiarity: Learn and effectively use information/business tools and platforms (i.e., CCV, Nielsen Connect, additional primary and third-party insights platforms, MS Office Suite, PowerBI, etc) to obtain and analyze relevant information
Business Consulting Skills: Identify opportunities and gaps by via understanding of the business and application of quantitative and qualitative industry, consumer, and syndicated insights
