About the role

The Oracle AI Database team is seeking an experienced Events Manager to promote our industry-leading Oracle AI Database solutions at events ranging from Oracle’s customer events, such as AI World, third-party events, such as Gartner’s Data & Analytics Summit, and partner events, such as NVIDIA GTC and Microsoft Ignite. In this role, you’ll work alongside Product Marketing colleagues to conceptualize, plan, manage, and execute high impact events to drive customer engagement and influence purchasing decisions.

We are looking for a results-driven Events Manager with a proven track record in dynamic, high-growth B2B environments. You will leverage your understanding of customers’ database cloud needs to plan, manage, and execute various events that will promote the features and benefits of Oracle AI Database to both technical and business audiences around the world. You will collaborate with product marketing colleagues, product management, field organizations, OCI, and our partners to develop appropriate messaging to promote the event as well as content to be delivered at the event such as signage and presentations. 

 

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with Product Marketing colleagues, support end-to-end planning, execution, and post-event analysis. 
  • With an understanding of marketing strategies for Oracle AI Database, conceptualize and successfully execute events that will deliver excellent customer experiences, drive customer engagement and contribute to sales.
  • Devise promotional strategies to ensure high levels of targeted attendance at events.
  • Primary on-site point of contact during the event to ensure a smooth run and troubleshooting problems.
  • Measure, analyze, and report event outcomes including future improvements.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • A self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and strategically prioritize multiple tasks while coordinating activities across multiple marketing, development, field, and sales organizations.
  • 5+ years of experience as an event manager at high tech B2B companies
  • Prior success in conceptualizing, managing, and executing events aimed at a range of audiences, including IT practitioners and business executives.
  • Demonstrated skill in driving attendance at events.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills. 
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills 
  • Experience communicating effectively with senior leadership.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $82,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
