Job Description

Control Clerk

The Oklahoma House of Representatives is seeking a session-only Control Clerk. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Enters information into the Control Clerk database that is designed for the tracking and management of essential and highly confidential material.

Electronically delivers confidential documents for filing.

Emails documents to attorneys, research and fiscal personnel.

Prepares copies for delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE – One year of clerical experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES - Knowledge of the basic principles involved in the operation of various office and data processing equipment; general office procedures and practices; and the legislative process.

Skilled in operating data processing equipment with speed and accuracy; in following oral and written instructions; in performing technical tasks with a high degree of accuracy; and highly developed in the organizational planning of workflow.

Ability to perform well under pressure.
