WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Work closely with Eastern time zone-based cross-functional product development teams to create best-in-class web-based solutions for our customers in field service businesses, ie: pest-control, security, and cleaning industries.
- Collaborate with other members of the Product Design team on company-wide design initiatives and actively critique and iterate to discover the best solutions.
- Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and clickable prototypes.
- Help develop and maintain our design system (component documentation, themes, patterns, etc.)
- Work closely with a Product Design Manager, Product Management, QA, and Engineers to define use cases, gather requirements, plan user stories, implement designs, iterate and track changes.
- Participate in user research/testing via customer visits, interviews, focus groups, and feedback sessions.
- Effectively communicate and discuss designs with stakeholders.
- Actively research and stay abreast of UX topics and relevant technology trends.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- One to two years of experience designing business-oriented web and mobile applications, leveraging emerging technologies. SaaS or service design experience is a plus.
- A portfolio or samples illustrating your UI and UX work (wireframes, flows, and related deliverables.)
- Strong Figma skills.
- Knowledge of design systems.
- Strong curiosity and drive to understand how things work, envision how they might work better, and translate that vision into a compelling user experience.
- A passion for solving problems and making complex systems easy to use.
- Demonstrable knowledge of human factors and usability best practices. Knowledge of ADA/WCAG compliance is highly desired.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional R&D teams to successfully develop and deliver products to market (experience working in Agile teams is a plus.)
- Ability to coordinate and track user stories, use cases, and design deliverables (Jira experience is a plus).
- Understanding of the capabilities and limitations of front-end technologies. Working knowledge of CSS and HTML is essential. Coding/scripting will not be your responsibility, but the ability to communicate and collaborate with front-end developers is critical to the role.
- Must be comfortable reviewing developed designs to provide detailed feedback to Engineering and QA.
- Experience working with offshore resources and across multiple time zones is a plus.
