Whether patients require minimally invasive procedures or major surgeries, this surgical team is dedicated to providing patients with excellent care in a safe, family-friendly environment. As a Surgical Services Support Technician, you will help create a safe and sterile environment for surgical operations and other procedures. You will help with throughput and ensuring patient safety by transporting the right patient at the right time, keeping them out of general waiting areas and decreasing delays. You will be exposed to the latest technologies, offering a unique opportunity to gain invaluable medical knowledge through hands-on experience.
A PRN caregiver in this position works variable days and hours from 7:00AM – 3:30PM or 3:00PM – 11:30PM, including weekends and holidays.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Safely transport patients to designated areas per nursing requests.
Assist nursing caregivers during surgical cases as requested.
Maintain and control Support Services equipment and supplies.
Maintain the OR in an aesthetically safe and sanitary condition.
Escort and direct customers to the appropriate source for assistance.
Provide a safe environment for patients and their families.
Enter job tasks into electronic computer software systems.
Assist in prepping and shaving patients for surgery.
