JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision and training of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician (BT) will implement individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment plans and behavior intervention plans to children with Autism in a clinic or home setting. The RBT will implement programs and collect data daily on individualized functional goals for each client with efficacy. RBTs will help maintain a clean and safe environment in the clinic setting for the staff members, clients and parents receiving services at Autism Learning Collaborative.

• Ability to interpret and implement clinical protocols.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Provide direct 1:1 and group ABA therapy.
• Implement and collect data on behavioral skill acquisition, behavior reduction and functional living protocols.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with client's individualized protocols.
• Assist Lead RBTs and BCBAs with skill acquisition and behavior reduction assessments and preparing client materials as instructed Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the BCBA.
• Utilize safe & appropriate handling procedures when working with clients.
• Maintain client confidentiality.
• Collaborate with treatment team members.
• Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required training.

BASIC & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel between different job sites.
• Must have a valid Driver's License & insurance in good standing.
• Must be available during the hours of 8:00-5:00 PM.
• Must be willing to conduct sessions in-home and/or in-clinic.

EXPERIENCE:

• Preferred: Experience working with children ages 0-16 providing in a classroom or 1:1 setting; experience implementing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis; Educational, Speech, or Allied Health Services experience
