Administrative Assistant (NE)

The Administrative Assistant will handle a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks and work independently with little or no supervision. You must have acute attention to detail, the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Essential Functions
- Responding to internal and external phone calls, inquiries, and visitors.
- Event planning, including registration, client relations, fluency with online platforms.
- Initiating or responding to correspondence and memoranda.
- May serve as administrative liaison internally and outside the organization regarding issues affecting departmental activities.
- Processing paperwork for financial transactions and related budgetary matters.
- Calendaring, coordinating, scheduling, and setting up for meetings, webinars, presentations, etc.
- Creating/adding/editing/posting content on website and social media utilizing design software such as Canva, InDesign, or Fatpaint.
Position Qualifications
- Be a high school graduate at a minimum, with some college preferred.
- Have at least 3-5 years of previous administrative experience.
- Proven expertise with Microsoft Office and graphic design tools (candidates will be tested).
- Have a knowledge and familiarity with the mission of the Catholic Church and its structure.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- High proficiency with digital media use such as websites, social media, mobile apps.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative for projects and programs.
- Occasional attendance at weekend or evening meetings may be required.
Range: $17.00 - 27.00, Hourly
Compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer.
