Description
This is a renewable non-tenured position with an initial one-year appointment beginning August 2023.
Principal responsibilities include:
•Teaching counseling related courses and/or related topics with specific emphasis on LGBTQ+ Affirmative Therapy and/or school counseling, diversity, addiction/substance abuse, research, statistics
•Academic (individual and group) advising
•Clinical Supervision of students
•Service to the department to support program projects and events
•Service to the School and University
Qualifications
Required qualifications include:
•A doctoral degree in counseling or counselor education (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) from a CACREP-accredited program
•Teaching experience in counseling related courses and/or related topics with specific emphasis on LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy, addiction/substance abuse, research, statistics, school counseling, and/or diversity
•Demonstrated identity as a counselor educator and clinician
•Clinical experience in the field
Preferred qualifications:
•LPC and/or LMFT
•Clinical supervisory experience and/or supervisory credential
•LGBTQ+ counseling experience
•School counseling experience
•Addiction/substance abuse experience
•Clinical counseling experience
•Experience in supervision/management of a clinic
•One to three years teaching experience
