The Digital Technology Program Management Office is currently searching for an Associate Director, Agile Transformation Coach.  The ideal candidate is responsible for onboarding Agile teams, Agile Release Trains, and Solution Trains, as well as coaching existing Agile teams. The Agile Transformation Coach will be able to provide the coaching, training, and mentoring needed to all levels of the organization to support a successful onboarding. This Agile Transformation Coach will be a member of the Digital Technology Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) and will also support other strategic Agile Transformation activities to support defining and enabling the enterprise, operational, and cultural components that will drive our global Digital Technology Agile transformation.

What YOU will do:

  • You will lead a Lean-Agile transformation using a standard onboarding process that includes defining teams, roadmaps, backlogs with epics/features/stories, working agreements, cadence calendar, etc in preparation for the first Planning Interval (PI) event.

  • You will implement the practices and principles of the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®)

  • You will Evangelizes, among the stakeholders and organizational leadership, a consensus around the strategic vision, associated missions, and the role of the Agile to foster a product-oriented culture and mindset.

  • You will provide Agile role training as needed as well as train managers and executives in their role as a Lean Agile Leaders

  • You will develop and lead the Agile Practice, putting in place the systems, processes, and ways of working to sustain a high performing team, where skill development, increased agility, collaboration, and improved ways of working are key to success.

  • You will evolve and continually improve the interdependencies between business models and operating practices, integrating waterfall, iterative, and agile delivery models into one, cohesive delivery strategy to best meet the evolving business needs.

  • You will lead the identification and development of Agile roles, team configuration, and recruitment appropriate to deliver the agreed-upon goals and objectives.

  • You will foster relationships with your Digital Technology peers and all over the world that work and WANT to work at Collins. 

  • You will assess enterprise or portfolio performance, using metrics and reporting. Supporting the organization’s progression towards a value-based operating model. 

  • You will learn how to support Agile teams with development of training materials.

Education & Experience:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

  • Scaled Agile Practice Consultant (SPC6) Certified

  • Experience coaching Agile teams, Agile Release Trains (ARTs) &/or Solution Trains.

Skills We Value:

  • Certified Coaching experience is a plus.

  • ADKAR and/or Prosci certifications are a plus.
