The Parts Delivery Specialist performs driving, material handling, and inventory coordinating duties to ensure that all materials received, issued, and shipped out of the organization are completed at maximum productivity and efficiency. This position performs inventory control, order staging, and material requisitioning and ensures proper storage and maintenance of all direct and indirect materials. The Parts Delivery Specialist also ensures that materials are placed in their proper locations and are available for issue when needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform daily kitting by picking inventory against kit list requirements from service delivery schedules.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify packing slips and goods received against purchase orders.
- Reconcile all discrepancies with purchasing immediately.
- Pick up and Deliver parts for customers and vendors as needed.
- Store materials in system-designated locations or areas for maximum inventory control and accountability.
- Organize and continually consolidate inventory to maximize efficiency.
- Maintain rack/shelf accessibility at all times.
- Perform cycle count and activities as scheduled, reconciling all discrepancies.
- Perform daily computer transactions for all material movements in and out of the stockroom.
- Maintain a neat and clean work environment including facility, yard and shop.
- Operate various material handling equipment, including forklift, pallet, and other material handling equipment as specified.
- Process shipments through UPS software.
- Shuttle fleet vehicles to the local vehicle maintenance shop.
- Help warehouse team with facility projects – snow shoveling, cleaning off fleet in company parking lot (after and during storms), daily trash and recycling removal from warehouse.
- Communicate with Inside Operations to inform of pending order material fulfillment, delivery delays, and parts list inaccuracies that need to be corrected.
- Drive special customer program material requirements. Own the program and proactively ensure material flow and staging is running smoothly and in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
- Document and ship oil/fuel/coolant samples to the test lab.
- Travel in company vehicles to remote warehouse storage sites (during normal work hours) to perform monthly cycle counts and organize stockrooms.
- Participate in problem-solving and other work improvement efforts.
- This is a cross-functional position, and the employee must be willing and able to rotate to other parts of the team or fulfill other requirements when necessary. The employee must also cover for absences within the team to ensure work gets accomplished. The employee must be willing to spend the time it takes to accomplish the job, which may require overtime.
- Cross-functional communication with Inside Operations, Field Technicians, Purchasing, Finance, Parts teams and other offices as necessary.
- Make emergency deliveries in company vehicles during and after hours if needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma
Certification / License:
Valid Driver’s License
Medical Certification Card (DOT)
Work Experience:
Two years related experience in delivering parts and equipment.
Two years warehouse/stockroom environment.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office products and data/web-based systems.
- Ability to drive a box truck.
- Ability to use/operate a forklift.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Compensation: Energy Systems is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The hourly rate for this role based in Corona, CA is $22.33-$31.22 This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.
