  About this job:
Responsible for the Emergency Operations Plan for the entire school district. Continued development, implementation and training of the district wide emergency plan to all schools and non-school facilities.

What You'll Do:

• Manages the district in regularly reviewing and improving emergency plans and procedures.
• Ensures the school district remains in compliance with all federal, state, local and school district regulations regarding emergency management.
• Ensures that all school emergency teams are in compliance with district procedures.
• Monitors and conducts all training for both school and non-school facilities within the district.
• Provides reports and correspondence regarding emergency plans as required.
• Provides consultation and assistance to school leaders as requested regarding emergency management and security technology.
• Directs the site vulnerability assessment process
• Collaborates and networks on a regular basis with other school district emergency personnel.
• Leads in the design and implementation of security technology upgrades and additions. across all district buildings.

  What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor's or relevant work experience minimum, Master's  Degree preferred
• 2+ years management responsibility 
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
• Strong organizational and analytic skills and strong attention to detail
• Self-starter/leader who can anticipate department needs in a proactive (versus, reactive) manner
• Ability to develop and interpret data and manage resources
• Ability to motivate and influence others
• Ability to effectively lead a team
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to multi-task and juggle management of several high-priority projects in parallel
• High degree of integrity in handling confidential information
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to lead a high-performing team

• Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
