Description
The Landscape Architect/Planner is responsible for municipal landscape architecture and planning projects including plan reviews, site inspections; parks and recreation plans and reports; greenways, trails and open space plans and reports; streetscape plans; corridor plans.
Requirements
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
· Prepare plan reviews, including site visits to confirm existing conditions.
· Perform inspections of tree protection and assess tree disturbance/tree preservation conditions.
· Perform inspections of landscape elements of subdivision/land development projects for release of escrow funds, start of maintenance, and end of maintenance and prepare punch lists and correspondence outlining findings.
· Prepare parks and recreation plans and reports including Parks Master Site Development Plans, Conceptual Plans, and Construction Documents for parks and open space projects.
· Prepare Comprehensive Parks, Recreation, Open Space, Greenways, and Trails Plans
· Prepare corridor studies, streetscape plans, and conservation plans and reports.
· Prepare PowerPoint presentations.
· Prepare renderings and graphics for projects.
· Prepare and assemble site analysis documents, concepts diagrams, and reports for projects.
· Prepare grant applications and grant administration services for projects with various local, county, state, and federal grant programs.
· Attend municipal meetings including staff-level meetings and evening meetings with Boards and Commissions Develop solutions to technical problems.
· Prioritize and manage multiple clients/projects.
Essential Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or related area
· Registered Professional Landscape Architect in Pennsylvania
· 4+ years of Landscape Architecture experience
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Possesses working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator)
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
· Exceptional graphic communication skills
· Exceptional oral and written communication skills
· General knowledge of plant materials commonly used in the region, with an emphasis on native species
· General knowledge construction materials and methods and assembly of construction/contract documents
· General knowledge of grading and drainage design and stormwater management practices
· Demonstrates the highest degree of ethical behavior and candor
· Comfortable in working well with a team, as well as being an individual performer

· Ability to work additional and/or nonstandard office hours, as required
