In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the successful planning and execution of electrical projects.

Salary Range: $134,000K- $154,000K

Location: Onsite (Los Angeles, CA)

Position: Project Manager I or II

Type: Full-Time,  4-to-8-month assignment        

 

Public Works (PW), Business Relations and Contracts Division is seeking a Project Manager I or II with contracting experience to assist in centralizing contracting functions within Public Works to one Division.

 

Duties

The PM will research existing contract processes within PW.  The PM will also research other public agencies who currently have centralized contracting.  The PM will prepare a report and summarize the findings.  The PM will also provide recommendations on how PW can obtain a centralized contracting unit within PW.

 

Required skills:

  • Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years (PM I) or 5+ years (PM II) years of contracting experience and knowledge of public agency contracting processes.
  • Knowledge of public agency contracting processes and contracting delivery methods
  • Effective written and oral communication skills are required to work with all levels of staff, including high level managers
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work with little supervision
  • Capable of multi-tasking; and follow through on all tasks to completion

 

Recommended:

Bachelor’s Degree in an accredited university is highly recommended but not required for this position.
