About the Role
Culmen International is looking for a Therapeutics Research Scientist to support a USAMRIID program at Fort Detrick, MD.
A Therapeutics Research Scientist, who participates in early-stage development and evaluation of therapeutic candidates, supporting mechanism of action and efficacy testing using various assay systems.
What You’ll Do in Your New Role
- Perform compound screening assays.
- Evaluate in vitro efficacy and toxicity.
- Support mechanistic studies for lead candidates.
- Maintain lab notebooks and inventory.
- Assist in preparation of technical reports and presentations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a biological science or chemistry-related field.
- 2+ years in pharmacology, biochemistry, or microbiology.
- Experience with small molecule and biologic screening.
- Familiarity with high-throughput assay systems.
- Understanding of pharmacodynamics concepts.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and enroll in the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), if required.
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred.
