Job Description
The Sales Operations Manager plays a critical role in enabling a high-performing sales organization by driving operational excellence through reporting, data analysis, sales technology, and process optimization. This individual will be responsible for managing the sales tech stack (especially the CRM), generating actionable insights through data, and ensuring the sales team has the infrastructure, tools, and support to execute effectively and efficiently.
Job duties to include but are not limited to;
Sales Reporting & Analytics:
- Build and maintain real-time dashboards and standardized reports to track key performance metrics (e.g., pipeline velocity, win/loss rates, forecast accuracy, quota attainment).
- Deliver monthly order intake reports and sales forecast in coordination with all sales departments and the head of Sales Americas.
- Deliver regular reporting packages for leadership, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities within the sales funnel and overall business performance.
- Partner with sales leadership to develop and refine forecasting models based on historical data and current trends.
- Conduct ad hoc data analysis to support strategic decisions and business planning.
CRM & Sales Technology Management:
- Serve as the system owner and administrator for the CRM platform (e.g. Salesforce), ensuring system integrity, data hygiene and user adoption.
- Customize and optimize the CRM to align with evolving sales workflows and reporting needs.
- Oversee integrations between the CRM and related tools (e.g., marketing automation, quoting systems, ERP).
- Train and support users on CRM best practices, features and enhancements.
Sales Process Optimization:
- Design, document, and refine sales processes to increase efficiency and reduce friction across the buyer journey.
- Implement scalable workflows to lead routing, opportunity management, pipeline tracking and sales handoffs.
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the sales cycle and propose data-driven improvements.
Strategic Sales Planning & Execution:
- Coordinate quarterly business reviews and performance analysis.
- Assist leadership with sales incentive modeling and performance tracking.
- Coordinate monthly commission payments with the Finance Department.
- Support the annual sales planning process, including territory assignments, account segmentation and goal setting.
Cross Functional Collaboration:
- Act as the primary liaison between Sales, Marketing, Finance and Customer Success to align on goals, tools and metrics.
- Ensure consistent definitions and understanding of key KPI’s across departments.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Data Analytics or a related field: MBA is a plus.
Years of Experience:
- 5 years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations or related roles.
Additional Qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency with CRM systems, reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and Excel/ Google Sheets.
