POSITION SUMMARY:

Seattle Galvanizing Company is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Pre-Treatment Crane Operator position in Arlington, WA. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will operate the galvanizing department’s overhead bridge crane in a safe and effective manner to ensure high quality product.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Monitor/inspect steel products in the process tanks to achieve desired, high-quality result.
• Inspect jigs full of material before pre-tretment process.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and follow facility safety regulations.
• Maintain a safe and productive working environment.
• Operate radio-controlled crane while standing and walking down the galvanizing process.
• Utilize overhead crane to pick up and move racked products from either the floor or from the hot degreaser tank and place in one of the several tanks.
• Complete a daily inspection of the crane(s) before operating. 
• Ensure we keep up with production flows and timelines.
• Ensure good clear communication with department leads and shipping manager for completion of customer products in a timely manner. 
• Always keep a clean and tidy work area free of any unneccesary debris. 
• Keep up to date with best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Read and follow written and verbal instructions
• Work in a high volume, fast paced environment
• The ability to work in fluctuating temperatures with exposure to a manufacturing setting (ie. steam, odours, etc.).
• Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
• Must be able to withstand a high stress environment.
• Must be able to multi-task and think ahead. 
• 2-3 year of previous experience with overhead crane operations
• One year of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Recognize chemical safety and to know basic employee responsibilities.
• Must always have a high awareness for safety

SHIFT: Monday-Friday 4:30am to 1:30pm with regular mandatory overtime. 

COMPENSATION: $28hr
