This position reports directly to the Predictive Maintenance Supervisor.

 

Predictive Maintenance Technicians are responsible for providing Predictive services to Nutrien-Aurora departments as directed. Predictive Maintenance Technicians are assigned to an area of the plant for collection, analysis, and reporting of technical data, and are cross-trained in all areas of the facility as required. This position assists in scheduling work, coordinating activities, and preparing necessary technical reports. The Predictive Maintenance Technician is expected to be a technical source to departments and employees in the troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical equipment. Predictive Maintenance Technicians may also be asked to perform special projects and audits that will be assigned by supervision.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Responsible for assisting in creating and maintaining technology databases (Currently Visions)
  • Gather, evaluate, and report on technology data in accordance with company best practices and standards
  • Report in a clear concise manner following all company procedures for content
  • Responsible for information gathering and equipment walk downs
  • Responsible for communicating deliverables to departments and for accuracy and timeliness of all internal and external communications and reporting
  • Assumes responsibility for necessary auditing, metrics, and reporting including but not limited to: 
    • Confirming databases are in compliance with current requirements
    • Assisting and reporting equipment alarms
    • Supporting and assisting in Management of Change Processes
  • Perform all work in a safe and controlled manner, adhere to safety and environmental policies
  • Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following Nutrien, Occupational Safety Health Administration, Mining Safety Health Administration, and Marine Security guidelines
  • Use proper personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, face shield, flash suits, FR Clothing, and personal environmental monitors
  • Cross-train and work in all areas of the facility, as required
  • Perform work from elevated structures, ladders, scissor lifts, boom lifts and personnel-baskets
  • Assist in training and the mentoring of new employees and support continuous improvement
  • Able to convey obtained knowledge from seminar/training sessions
  • Able and willing to work on-call, as required by customers or management
  • Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all types of weather

What you will bring:

 

  • The National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) testing is necessary for all hourly applicants of Nutrien. Applicants must complete this test and meet a minimum of 4 in Graphic Literacy, 5 on Applied Mathematics, and 5 on Workplace Documents in order to be considered eligible for employment with Nutrien
    • The National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) must be uploaded with your resume during your application to be considered eligible for employment with Nutrien
  • Minimum of 5 years Industrial Maintenance Experience working with Rotating Equipment, Bearing Fits/Practices, Alignment, Tolerances, Basic knowledge of API Standards is required
  • Level 1 or 2 Certified in Vibration Analysis is preferred or ability to obtain in a 12 month period
  • Level 1 or 2 Certification (or equivalent experience) in a secondary technology (lubrication analysis, thermography, motor circuit testing, etc.) is preferred or ability to obtain in a 12 month period
  • Need to be clean shaven fit testing and ability to shave on demand for respirator use.
  • Computer skills or knowledge (Microsoft Suite) is required
