The candidate is expected to have a strong background in VOIP technologies, protocols, and open-source platforms.  Additionally, this role is expected to have full-stack development experience with strong knowledge of developing applications end-to-end including application development, databases, cloud-based technologies, APIs, and scripting automation. It is a very dynamic environment with fast-paced turnaround times involving interactions with other team members, product managers, QA, and Ops resources in an agile environment.<br/><br/></p> <p><strong>Essential Job Functions</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design and develop distributed, robust, real-time high-volume applications </li> <li>Develop software using best dev/ops practices including aspects of testing, deployment, and operations.</li> <li>Ability to complete individual tasks end-to-end independently while also working with a team to accomplish bigger objectives.</li> <li>Monitoring the system's stability and ensuring it’s high-availability (99.999%)</li> <li>Development of new features, logic, and bugfixes</li> <li>Diagnosing bottle-necks and suggesting optimizations for top-notch performance</li> <li>Performing production deployments of new versions</li> <li>Writing automation to perform various complicated tasks</li> <li>Writing monitoring scripts, alerts, and dashboards</li> <li>Analyzing packet captures and system traces as the art of troubleshooting activities</li> <li>Maintenance of the AWS cloud infrastructure</li> <li>Reviewing and approving code written by others</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Specific Requirements, Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in Software Development</li> <li>Python, SQL, Shell</li> <li>Knowledge of VoIP (SIP/RTP)</li> <li>Hands-on experience with AWS</li> <li>Relational (MySQL, Postgres) and No SQL  (Redis, DynamoDB) database technologies.</li> <li>Knowledge of automation software and practices (Ansible or Terraform desired)</li> <li>Linux Systems knowledge (performance tuning, basic networking, file systems)</li> <li>Experience with version control systems like Git, SVN, etc</li> <li>Strong troubleshooting skills</li> <li>Ability and willingness to work in a global, fast-paced environment</li> <li>Experience with DevOps practices</li> <li>Highly organized with strong analytical and communication skills</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Open-source technologies such as Asterisk, OpenSIPs, and/or Kamaillio (desired)</li> <li>Experienced with Grafana, influxDB, telegraf (desired)</li> <li>Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins/GH actions/CPL)</li> <li>Working experience with network sniffers such as tcpdump/Wireshark/VoipMonitor</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Education</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.</li> </ul> <p></p>
