What You Will Do:

• Subject matter expert on manufacturing processes including: equipment, floor layouts, work sequence, work instructions, procedures, and work flow 
• Develop/implement control plans
• Identify process improvements opportunities using analysis, modeling, benchmarking, research, etc.
• Conduct studies on cost control, productivity, cost reduction, inventory, and production record systems 
• Provide measurable input into the sequence of operations and work instructions
• Develop and improve standard work
• Contribute to plans for allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to establish maximum utilization
• Prepare project cost estimates and cost benefit analysis to validate cost against pertinent business plan(s) and program expectations
• Achieve economic goals for complex systems and products in production and/or under development
• Program, integrate, and validate/verify new manufacturing equipment
• Review processes and tooling to drive improvements that eliminate risks related to quality, safety, and producibility (e.g. process failure mode effect analysis)
• Manage moderately sized projects or processes
• Coach, review, and delegate work to lower level professional.
• Use various software packages to maintain and update documents and records
• Minimal travel involved

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of data collection, analysis, and visualization
• Experience working in a Lean environment with understanding of Lean principles and process flow optimization
