Engineering Design Coach II

Provide Layout and coaching support to engineers on data requirements and best design practices for systems including CATIA, ENOVIA, and 3DExperience.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of design activities using 3D modeling software, conduct layout review, and 2D drawing creation using clients design best practices 
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems and errors with minimal guidance and direction
• Provide administrative data management support.
• Support project milestone workshops, where data requirements and associated deadlines are shared with all project team members.
• Recommend best design practices to meet data requirements.
• Provide one-on-one training/support for design engineering and PLM management tasks relating to CATIA, ENOVIA, and 3DExperience as needed.
• Assist with development of best design practices as needed.
• Document best design practices when material is not already available.
• Track and report coaching activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a technical industry/environment.
• Proficient at using and troubleshooting CATIA V5/V6.
• Strong familiarity with ENOVIA, 3DExperience and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts.
• Proficiency in MS office.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience coaching or training individuals and/or teams in a technical environment preferred.
• Experience documenting technical workflows preferred.
• Previous Honda development experience is preferred.
