As an Asphalt/Chemistry Technician, you will take on a crucial role in performing materials testing for asphalt and chemistry sections. With minimal supervision, you will ensure that all materials meet stringent specifications, contributing to the safety and durability of our roadways. Your responsibilities will include following AASHTO, ASTM, and WYDOT standards, conducting engineering analysis, and providing data for product acceptance and design.

In addition, you'll be involved in training and guiding junior team members, ensuring that the department’s work maintains the highest standards. This role offers a chance to develop your technical expertise while making a tangible difference in Wyoming’s transportation infrastructure.
