Associate Commercial Legal Counsel

As Associate Legal Counsel, you will join the rapidly growing legal team reporting to the Managing Counsel, Americas Commercial Legal. You will provide legal support for Databricks' U.S. commercial business, including negotiating commercial contracts, and solving issues relating to security and privacy, in addition to providing general legal support to Databricks as an integrated part of the Databricks global legal team.

The impact you will have:

• Draft and negotiate complex, non-standard agreements governing innovative products/services and addressing cutting edge legal issues
• Advise and help train commercial sales teams on deal process and contract management
• Understand SaaS, product, data security, and privacy process issues to guide the sales teams during deal negotiations, and in many other contexts
• Help with standardization of documentation across multiple jurisdictions
• Understand Databricks' internal structures, product offerings, technology, security/data protection systems and policies to give you a foundation for effectively providing support across all lines of business

What we look for:

• Attorney with 2+ years of relevant experience with a law firm and/or in-house within the tech sector 
• Understanding of cloud services, technology and professional services contracts
• High-level negotiation and legal drafting skills
• Solid knowledge of business processes gained in-house relating to commercial issues, contracts, intellectual property, and data privacy law
• Experience managing workload in a high-pressure environment with competing demands
• A desire to be part of a dynamic legal team supporting the recognized leader in processing big data in the cloud
