Position Summary
We are looking for you - dynamic, best-in-class talent - to join the UM team as a Senior Analyst, Data & Analytics. The Senior Analyst will have responsibility for campaign performance metrics as well as overall business process and network ecosystem data as it relates to defining, designing, and interpreting campaign results. The Senior Analyst will help clients track and measure campaign performances as well as develop reporting and recommendations for optimization.
Responsibilities
- Regularly present data insights and reports to internal/external teams and stakeholders
- Collect and manipulate multiple sources of data to analyze the state of our clients’ businesses across multiple channels (paid search, display media, website, social media, advertising campaigns, offline media, brand sales and brand equity) ensuring accuracy of the output
- Apply independent, critical thinking and reasoning to data to uncover media and marketing communications opportunities that generate business results
- Coordinate with planning and strategy teams to develop and apply measurement plans, not limited to research
- With Manager, steward career growth of Analysts including performance evaluations and training/development plans
- Develop engaging content for strategic client deliverables, including reporting, competitive, research, capabilities overviews, and media landscape documents
- Accurately evaluate the effectiveness and performance of paid campaign advertising
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or related experience) in a field related to mathematics, statistics or marketing/advertising
- Minimum 1-2 years of related experience - media research/analytics within an agency setting preferred
- Passion for working with databases and manipulating numbers to develop marketing insights that advance reporting and client deliverables.
- Understanding of data operating models, key media metrics, KPIs and industry standard data sources including databases, DCM and Google Analytics
- Demonstrated aptitude for working with data and identifying relationships and trends
- Commitment to accuracy and strict QA processes
- Inductive and deductive reasoning skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft suite of products particularly PowerPoint and Excel, including knowledge of PivotTables and complex formulae
