About the role
FP&A translates business inputs, strategies and objectives into financial outcomes through scenario modeling and sets key operating targets through annual operating planning processes. We ensure financial transparency to the business through accurate and timely reporting and re-forecasting, and that’s why we need you!
As Associate Director, FP&A, you will own our growing number of restaurant P&Ls and be a key business partner to the operations team. You will also provide instrumental forecasts, data and understanding to feed our long-term investor model(s), rolling short-term cash flow forecast, annual budgeting process and management reporting to senior leadership. You will work closely with the accounting team during month-end close to understand and translate our financials into KPIs and department level reporting packages to help unpack various metrics driving our business forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own restaurant P&Ls and work directly with the operations team to drive profitability
- Partner with senior leadership to develop labor, opex and capex budgets while simultaneously driving towards financial targets aligned with company strategic initiatives
- Collaborate with accounting to create monthly department reporting packages and budget to actual variance analyses
- Manage restaurant cash flow forecasts and improve our visibility into key drivers of revenue, margins, cash burn, and other key metrics
- Partner with cross-functional teams to conduct analyses and help drive critical business decisions (e.g., IRR and payback of new restaurant launches, potential partnerships and acquisitions, pricing, staffing models etc.)
- Support long-term strategic financial modelling in support of bi-annual board meetings and fundraising
- Work with financial systems team to automate reports and create looker dashboards
The experience you have
- Extensive experience in an analytical role, preferably with experience in investment banking, FP&A, or another finance-related field
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, including a high level of attention to detail
- Proficiency in excel and demonstrated technical skills in building financial models
- Ability to effectively distill complex information into concise narratives and communicate directly with senior executives

Base Salary: $183,750
