With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
In this dynamic role, the successful candidate will support the development, build, integration and test of KLA's new metrology tools by working closely other engineers to assemble our next generation of semiconductor metrology tools in a cleanroom!
Most responsibilities will move across these aspects of tool development and build:
Cable design, build, verification, and troubleshooting
Schematic development.
On-tool integration of cables and e-boxes, then troubleshooting as needed
Desire Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or similar.
Cleanroom experience and familiarity with cleanroom protocols.
Understanding of design and function of PLC Remote IO Racks and DC PDUs.
Solid understanding and experience with cable design, verification, rework, installation, and routing.
Development of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and Interface Control Documents.
Selection and specification of some electrical components, materials, and equipment.
Resolving electrical design issues in cables and e-boxes.
Capable of working with AutoCAD 2D.
Ability to redline procedures, drawings, and related build documentation, then process changes to the documentation in a controlled manner.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to collaborate with subsystem owners to ensure technical requirements are met.
Participation in status meetings to update progress, report issues, and provide technical advice.
Ability to handle multiple assignments with a sense of ownership to drive work to completion.
These skills and capabilities are a plus
Experience working with Zuken
Basic circuit board debugging
Understanding of ECO process and product life cycle
Experience with development and build of large complex semiconductor equipment.
Familiarity with AC PDUs and related safety protocols.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree with at least three years' relevant experience; Bachelor's Level Degree with at least five years' experience
