The Role:  

Cart.com is looking for a detailed-oriented Quality Assurance Analyst who will support the needs of our rapidly-growing team. The QA Analyst works within our Delivery business unit which focuses on the implementation of brands to Cart’s eCommerce platform (Cart Online Store).

This role will be responsible for designing and supporting the execution of quality assurance and testing plans for the project team(s) they support. The ideal candidate will posses a detailed understanding of how, when, and why to preform QA testing activities across the software development lifecycle, analyzing test strategies, developing test plans and processes, and specifying entry and exit conditions for activities.  

What You’ll Do:

  • Read and understand code to derive testing steps, necessary regression tests, identify risks, etc.
  • Navigate GIT version control and merge pull requests to test environments.
  • Perform testing of web, mobile, and command line applications.
  • Validate that user expectations are achieved during the testing process.
  • Review user requirements documents to ensure that requirements are testable. 
  • Deliver effective presentations to both technical and less-technical audiences, including running defect reviews, product demonstrations, and training.   
  • Contribute to quality inspections of requirements, designs, data to be used by the product, and technical specifications, to determine fitness for use and where changes or clarifications are required. Producing summaries of inspections and documentation using precise technical descriptions.    
  • Identify relevant resources related to work, acquire competence in new subject areas quickly, and engage in knowledge sharing.   
  • Be knowledgeable and appreciative of the contributions of all roles, with ability to speak to their value, and demonstrate multiple perspectives in work performed.    

Who You Are:

  • Ability to conduct software quality assessments in any of the following areas: accessibility (to WCAG 2.1 Level AA), site performance (profiling, load testing), content performance (UX, analytics, SEO, SMO), data privacy (GDPR, GLBA, HIPAA, PCI, SOX), or security (reviews, penetration testing).    
  • Deep experience in web application testing, including highly-trafficked pub
