Sr. Accountant

Title: Sr. Accountant
Pay: 80-100k 

Location: Remote

Candidate MUST be located in one of the following states:
AR, AZ, CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, KY, MD, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, ND, NM, NV, NY, OK, OR, RI, SD, TN, TX, VA, WA, WI, WY

Overview: This position will perform a full spectrum of financial and accounting assignments and related analysis. The Sr. Accountant assists with month-end close, audit support, accounting research and reconciliation, ad-hoc analysis and other projects. The person needs to have a good working knowledge of GAAP and assists in ensuring that the principles are being practiced consistently in all responsible areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• GL account reconciliations,
• Revenues and Accounts Receivable analysis
• Various journal entries
• Assist with the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
• Respond to Accounting Manager/ VP of Accounting questions and requests
• Review AR analysis and reports
• Other assigned duties

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; Master’s Degree or CPA preferred
• 5+ year experience for Senior Accountant
• Public Accounting experience preferred
• Knowledge of finance and accounting under GAAP
• Microsoft Office proficiency and proficient in MS Excel skills
• Experience using NetSuite

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Month-end close experience a must
• Balance sheet reconciliation experience a must
• Health care industry preferred
• Must be able to work independently with little direction
• Hands-on approach mixed with high level thinking
• Excellent communication skills are required including written, verbal and listening
• Team player with the ability to relate to all levels
• Demonstrate flexibility, initiative, strong organizational skills, good judgment, sense of urgency and professionalism in dealing with confidential information
• Continuous improvement including organizational processes and themselves
• Highly self-motivated and a problem solver
