As a Retail Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of large-sized projects. Reporting to the Senior Manager, PMO, you will be responsible for planning, overseeing, and documenting all aspects of projects including delivering every project on time, within budget and scope. Ideal candidates are excited about mentoring their peers and have a continuous improvement mindset.
- Understand overall project objective, work with project lead to define requirements, roles and scope
- Create and manage comprehensive project plans
- Effectively collaborate with cross-functional partners, delegate and follow up on action items
- Track project milestones and communicate regular status updates to stakeholders
- Facilitate project meetings and brainstorm sessions
- Identify and mitigate risks/conflicts from an objective point of view, in a timely manner
- Demonstrate good judgement and the ability to make important decisions under pressure
- Drive innovation and improvement of assigned area of responsibility, processes, systems, and tools; introduce new technologies and ideas
Requirements
- Experience managing strategic initiatives and cross-functional project teams
- 5-8 years’ experience in project management and leading a cross-functional project team, PMP/PRINCE certification a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and web-based collaboration applications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline is preferred or equivalent experience
- Ability to travel as required
Benefits
This is a consulting/contractor role. Contract to hire is possible, but not assured. The role requires full-time hours, approximately 40 hours per week, with a 9-5 PT schedule. This role is hybrid and will require in-office collaboration in San Francisco.
