Summary

As a Senior Manager of Development Acquisitions, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Trinitas. In this high-impact position, you'll be at the forefront of our mission to expand our purpose-built student housing platform. Your expertise will drive the entire acquisition process, from scouting prime locations in strategic markets to securing land deals. As a key leader, you will negotiate, manage, and close development opportunities that align with our ambitious growth objectives. Your contributions will directly influence our success, making a lasting impact on the communities we serve. The ideal candidate will be passionate about real estate and eager to make a significant difference.

What You’ll Do

• Develop a pipeline of opportunities - source, manage and negotiate opportunities to build and grow the purpose-built student housing development pipeline.
• Build advantageous relationships - Create and maintain relationships with landowners, brokers, government agencies and local stakeholders in order to identify and secure development sites.
• Collaborate with internal teams – work with market research, legal, site planning, pre-construction and underwriting to shepherd an opportunity from concept through Investment Committee approval.
• Conduct due diligence- use third-party consultants in order to establish a path to entitlements and development success in target markets.
• Negotiate – write letters of Intent, Contracts and Amendments as necessary.
• Prepare presentations – share development opportunities to the Investment Committee for consideration.
• Work in CRM databases - Initiate, maintain and manage contacts and development opportunities.
• Manage new opportunities - lead up and down the internal chain of command garnering input, problem solving and building consensus on development opportunities.
• Mentor – lead junior members of the Development Acquisition Team.

Who You Are

• 5 years of experience in deal sourcing.
• Demonstratable track record of success in identifying and acquiring purpose-built, student housing development opportunities.
• Experience assembling campus adjacent development opportunities.
• Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.
• Utilization of GIS software (LandVision) to source for opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills - sales and cold calling skills.
• Motivated self-starter - problem solver and team player.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Remote work is an option.
• Travel to sites throughout the US as needed.
