This role is perfect for a marketing expert who is passionate about product marketing, digital marketing, content creation, brand management, and internal messaging. As the lead marketer in a global team, the Marketing Director will not only plan, prioritize, and coordinate with their direct team of two but also guide them in creating new content that promotes CTS as a leader in their targeted markets. Your collaborative efforts will be instrumental in shaping the CTS story and brand standards.
As Marketing Director, you will be responsible for developing strategic marketing plans that include marketing communications, content creation, new product introduction, email marketing with Pardot, and internal employee messaging. You will track, analyze, and report on marketing campaigns to evaluate success, measure ROI, and determine best practices. You will ensure the newly launched CTS website has ongoing new technical content designed for SEO that drives leads to the sales teams.
This role will report to the Vice President of Corporate Development and Marketing and work closely with the sales and product management vice presidents across CTS’ business units. You will work cross-functionally with business leaders, project managers, engineers, and others as you assist in developing content by building strong internal and external relationships that drive positive business outcomes. CTS is a leading designer and manufacturer of complex, technical solutions spanning the Medical, Industrial, Aerospace/Defense and Transportation markets. Our Marketing Director will take the lead in translating these complex solutions into compelling commercial narratives.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Manage communication calendar and schedule by sharing and distributing product messages via email (Pardot), social (LinkedIn) and other sales channels to specific target segments.
- Lead content development plan by writing and editing materials, which include articles, presentations, white papers, videos and technical collateral by working with product management, engineers, and key stakeholders.
- Develop and implement a new SEO strategy to raise CTS product awareness
- Leverage current and emerging digital media strategies (e.g. email automation, social media, content management systems, etc.) to influence target audiences to the desired action.
- Create and execute email marketing content from ideation to graphic development. Content will be focused on lead generation and prospect nurturing within Pardot and Salesforce.
- Own the social media calendar, including content ideas and graphic development. Represent the CTS brand and voice while collaborating with followers.
- Discover, consolidate and communicate data; determine conclusions and problem-solve to improve external communications efforts and KPIs.
- Prepare reports on marketing efforts and adjust accordingly
- Stay current on best practices and emerging trends in external communications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent understanding of data segmentation and reporting within CRM and Marketing Automation software, Salesforce and/or Pardot preferred.
- Solid understanding of technical manufacturing and B2B marketing.
- Media analysis and basic computer knowledge and experience; ability to track, measure and report on results of various marketing functions to determine ROI.
- Experience in manufacturing organization preferred electronic components, advanced materials, automotive, aerospace, or similar.
