Development Operations (DO) Assembly Equipment Engineering is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our Assembly Equipment Team as a Project Engineering Intern. In this role, you will plan and develop tooling methods for the assembly, disassembly, inspection, repair, and test of Pratt & Whitney commercial and military jet engines.
What You Will Do
- Analyze, plan and establish tool requirements to support assembly/disassembly of validation/production engines/modules
- Technical writing of tool usage instructions
- Participate in P&W Integrated Product Teams (IPT) to help ensure assembly tooling designs can be produced, supported and maintained
- Develop concepts for assembly/disassembly procedures
- Participate in development and qualification of assembly tooling
- Interface with customer and supplier representatives to identify requirements and resolve assembly tooling related issues
- Manage project tasks to ensure tooling is delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications You Must Have
- Enrolled in a degree program in Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
Qualifications We Prefer
- Internship experience with Pratt & Whitney, RTX, or within the aerospace industry
- Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas
- Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience
- Programming experience in Python, R, or similar languages.
- Experience with data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques.
