Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Project Engineer / Project Manager to join our growing Energy Team. 

This position will perform both project engineering and project management duties in  support of a senior project manager on a variety of energy projects such as hydrogen production, waste-to-energy conversion, pipelines, compressor stations, marine terminal, carbon capture, petrochemical, manufacturing , solar/renewable energy and/or  energy storage. The successful candidate should be a dynamic, self-directed individual with a strong technical potential to develop and deliver these innovative energy projects.


The responsibilities of this role also include, but may not be limited to, the following:

• Working with interdisciplinary technical leads in coordinated successful execution of projects
• Interacting with clients
• Training junior staff and other team members who may need coaching
• Coordinating internal resources and third parties/subcontractors for the execution of projects
• Supporting changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs to minimize risk
• Reporting and escalating to management as needed
• Developing budgets and performing budget updates
• Validating Estimates to Completion
• Maintaining project documentation control
• Ability to work in a team environment (virtual and periodically in office)
• Support development of technical proposals.
• Completion of  AECOM’s internal project management certification program

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Process, Electrical Engineering or closely related field 
• 4  years of relevant experience in consulting, engineering, or project management in the industrial sector

Preferred Qualifications :

• EIT or PE license in Mechanical, Process, or Electrical Engineering or a similar field
• Experience in design participation or project management of complex industrial projects
• Strong fluency with Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Excel
• Availability for occasional travel within the United States
