IT Engineer (PowerShell), Client Computing Services

Nilfisk’ s Client Computing team is searching for a talented and experienced IT Engineer for scripting tasks, to join our International dynamic team at our Budapest office. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in the automation of various currently manual processes and daily repetitive tasks and the creation and improvement of various reports. This includes queries and modifications on the AD or M365 side, mostly in Powershell. Thereby reducing the administrative burden of IT and creating an opportunity to introduce and expand Self Service solutions. It is a big advantage if you have previously worked as a system administrator, or in Infrastructure or M365 areas.

Main scope of this role:

  • Proficiency in scripting languages, like PowerShell

  • Knowledge of Azure Automation runbook

  • Scripting experience in AD, Azure AD and M365.

  • Knowledge of ServiceNow application is an advantage

  • Experience in scripting automated processes that exchange payloads over Rest API interfaces

  • Business Englis skills

  • User centricity, and problem-solving mindset

  • Develop scripts to automate repetitive tasks, improving workflow across departments

  • Analyze system requirements to create effective automation designs

  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to integrate automated solutions seamlessly

  • Execute thorough testing protocols to validate automation system functionality

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing automation setups

  • Continuously evaluate and update automation systems for efficiency

  • Document processes and system configurations, enabling easier future modifications

The experience, we are looking for:

  • Proficiency in PowerShell

  • Script Writing: Proficiency in writing, testing, and debugging PowerShell scripts.

  • Module Management: Installing, updating, and managing PowerShell modules.

  • Pipelines: Efficient use of pipelines for chaining commands and processing data.

  • Task Automation: Automating routine administrative tasks across various systems and applications.

  • Windows Administration: Managing Windows operating systems, services, and features through PowerShell.

  • Active Directory: Managing Active Directory users, groups, and policies with PowerShell.

  • Azure: Administering Azure resources and services using Azure PowerShell.

  • Script Security: Implementing secure coding practices and managing execution policies.

  • Access Control: Managing permissions and roles through PowerShell.

  • Auditing: Writing scripts for system auditing and compliance reporting.

  • API Interaction: Consuming REST APIs and web services using PowerShell.

  • Fluent English knowledge both orally and written

Furthermore:

  • Analytical skills to diagnose and troubleshoot issues effectively using PowerShell.

  • Attention to details - Ensuring accuracy in scripts and avoiding errors that could lead to system issues.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to document scripts, share knowledge, and collaborate with team members.

  • Working well in a team environment to develop and implement scripts that benefit the organization.

  • Prioritizing and managing time effectively to handle multiple scripting and automation tasks.

  • Planning and managing projects that involve extensive scripting and automation.
