Job Description

The VP of Business Management Tooling is a leadership role that will report to the SVP of Technology Business Operations, and is fully remote.

• Lead the selection and implementation of Business Management (BM) tools
• Oversee the support and maintenance of the BM applications to ensure availability and reliability
• Manage incident and problem-resolution processes
• Manage change/release management process for the applications, ensuring proper testing and documentation
• Develop training and policies for proper usage and data protection
• Ensure the BM tools/applications comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
• Implement security measures to protect the BM applications from threats and vulnerabilities
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
• Identify areas for continuous improvement and lead projects to enhance the service's functionality and performance
• Stay updated with industry trends and new technologies to enhance the service
• Be the primary contact for vendors
• Manage procurement processes, including vendor negotiations and contract management
• Define the service level agreement (SLA) metrics and report results to teammates
• Manage the budget for the applications, including costs for development, licensing and support
• Evaluate and approve expenditures related to the service
• Manage and mentor a team of direct reports

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in technology, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in business management tooling
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
• Hands-on experience in service/application management and typical use cases
• Experience ensuring the delivery of high-quality services, meeting service level agreements (SLAs), and managing service performance
• Experience working with third-party vendors, including contract management and performance monitoring
• Experience managing budgets, forecasting costs/capacity, and ensuring cost-effective delivery of services
