Summary
This role is the frontline connector between clinical practice and the health system's digital strategy. Working closely with nurses and interdisciplinary teams, this role designs, evaluates, and optimizes workflows that strengthen care delivery, documentation quality, and patient safety. Translates clinical needs into smart EMR solutions, supports build, testing, and implementation, and provides hands-on end-user guidance to ensure technology is used accurately, efficiently, and consistently. This role drives continuous improvement, reduces practice variation, and ensures that workflows, technology, and frontline care stay tightly aligned to elevate outcomes across the system.
Job Duties
- Support the planning, implementation, and ongoing management of EMR systems and other technology, focusing on best practices and evidence-based workflows
- Provide input on linking practice guidelines and other evidence-based concepts to electronic records
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of documentation and decision support tools to ensure consistency across the system
- Utilizes effective communication skills in interpersonal interactions with patients and families, physicians, students, fellow employees, vendors, and the public.
- Assists in developing standards for assessment, development, and implementation of applications and systems.
- Leverages NEAT/Signal data to analyze clinical nurses’ real-time EHR usage patterns, identify pain points, and design targeted education, optimization plans, and at-the-elbow training that meaningfully improves workflow efficiency and end-user experience
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Related field.
- 3 years progressive clinical/healthcare experience with demonstrated experience leading teams, committees, implementations or other special projects.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and to be self-motivated and self-disciplined.
- Ability to focus on details and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and to consistently apply standards with flexibility for various department functions.
- Knowledge and ability to extract key data elements from data systems required as well as software programs including MS Office and Visio.
- EPIC Certification - Epic Systems Within 180 Days
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or Related field.
- 5 years progressive experience.
- RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania or
- RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_NJ - State of New Jersey
Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
