Job Description Summary
Internships are short-term work experiences for a designated period of time that allow college students the opportunity to observe and participate in the professional work environment, to explore how his/her interests relate to possible careers, and to gain practical experience in an industry relating to their field of study.Job Description
Learning directly from Sales leaders, interns will service and support Transamerica financial partners and clients in these areas of the business: 401K, Life Insurance, Variable Annuities, Mutual Funds, and/or Retirement.
Responsibilities:
Aids in fulfillment of marketing materials, trinkets, sales supplies, mailing campaigns, etc
Provides Pre/Post-Sale business resolution and follow-up with the wholesaling team
Provides Pre-sale licensing, agent appointment approvals, and NAIC Suitability training
Facilitates timely divisional/channel sales and activity reporting
Assists Internal and External Wholesalers with updating and maintaining the information in Salesforce to preserve its accuracy and functionality
Monitors and organizes sales supply inventory and proactively assesses timely replacement of materials
Assists Internal Wholesaler to create, assemble presentation format, and ship hypothetical/illustrations to reps in a timely manner
Provides Concierge Service, collecting information, completing sales applications/paperwork, and/or assisting with order entry process for approved partner firm's advisers
Assists Internal and External Wholesalers with Event Scheduling campaigns
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, marketing or sales, or other additional majors focusing on financial markets/sales; at an accredited college or university. Internships are not available for students who have completed their college education or who will graduate prior to the conclusion of the internship
Resourceful and well organized. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
Must have good written and oral communication skills
Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
Must be well organized and be able to prioritize tasks effectively
Must be willing to work from our office in downtown Denver, Colorado
Preferred Qualifications:
Desire to explore a career in the financial services industry
Interested in pursuing a sales career path
Computer application software knowledge (e.g. Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel)
Working Environment/Program Dates:
Hybrid work environment; report to Denver, CO office twice a week
Candidates must be able to work ~40 hours/week during the 12 week internship program (mid-May to mid-August)

Compensation:
