Your New Role…

Talent Relations is responsible for building community and establishing the talent experience for HBO, Max, and Magnolia Network producers, actors, and on-air talent. The team acts as a liaison between the company and its most valued asset, its talent. This team seeks to build and strengthen relationships via various cast appreciation tactics, i.e., premiere events, awards campaigns, talent dinners, wrap parties, film and series festivals, marketing shoots, and gifting. The team also partners with divisions across Warner Bros. Discovery to activate talent for large-scale corporate initiatives, guiding and weighing in on when, for what, and who should be utilized to achieve company goals.

The TR Manager reports to a Director of Talent Relations in Los Angeles and works with the talent relations team. 

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Manage talent engagement for series assigned in tandem with other talent relations team members and internal departments (Programming, Corporate Comms, Media Relations, International Publicity, Events, Awards, Brand, OP, Multicultural, and Social Marketing, Corporate Social Responsibility, Ad Sales, Distribution).

  • Cultivate relationships with producers and cast, peer executives and within the entertainment industry, including Publicists, Agents, Managers.

  • Forecast and track all talent costs and adhere to approved event budgets for assigned titles.

  • Arrange talent travel, both commercial and private, including flight, hotel, and car reservations and troubleshoot fast-changing schedules and delays that can disrupt travel and arrivals. Ensure premium talent travel experience is upheld by communicating and monitoring travel procedures and guidelines.

  • Create comprehensive talent itineraries that may include air, hotel, cars, greeters, hair & makeup timing and event details for award shows, panels, premieres, festivals, conventions, and the annual Upfront presentation as well as help with overseeing RSVP lists.

  • Facilitate and execute hotel room blocks and car grids for major awards shows, premieres, conventions, festivals, or other events.

  • Negotiate & track spending for hair, makeup, and styling.

  • Contribute to brainstorming exercises for talent gifts for all occasions including life moments (birthday, milestone, thank you, promotion, baby, sympathy), awards/honors, Start + Wrap of Production, and industry gifts. Assist with collecting talent information for any gifting including corporate holiday gifts and promotional gifts.

  • Cover events onsite, overseeing talent arrivals and departures, ticket distribution, and other talent needs at premieres, award shows, festivals, conventions, wrap parties, talent dinners and other events. Expected to work late nights and weekends

Qualifications & Experience…

  • A minimum of 7 years of work-related experience; publicity, agency, studio, network experience a plus.
  • Must be diligent and detail-oriented, a creative problem-solver unafraid to ask questions.
  • People who thrive in this position possess a positive and flexible attitude and are unintimidated by larger-than-life personalities.
  • Always professional and maintains composure, particularly in stressful situations.
  • Must be a self-starter that enjoys working collaboratively and adept at working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint + OneDrive, and Google Suite.
  • Event experience is a plus.
