About the role

The State of Wisconsin DPI is looking for a Data Warehouse Developer II.

*MUST BE LIVING/RESIDING IN WISCONSIN

Top Skills & Years of Experience:

• Expert knowledge and use of SQL (4-5+ years)

• Expert knowledge and experience creating Power BI reports in a Fabric environment (data modelling, data visualization, DAX, source control) (4-5+ years)

• Experience working in a Agile/Scrum environment in a cross-functional team (able to work well in a team, but also highly self-motivated and solid communication skills) (2-3+ years)

• Experience in data preparation and data warehousing projects (4-5+ years)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with K-12 education data sector

• Knowledge and use of Microsoft SSIS or similar Microsoft BI stack tools (SSRS, SSAS)

• Familiarity with scripting and programming

• Experience building accessible (WCAG 2.1 AA) Power BI reports

Interview Process: In person at 201 W. Washington Ave, Madison WI 53703. Additional interviews are possible.

Onsite or Remote: Candidate must be a CURRENT WI resident. No relocation allowed. This position can either be on-site or hybrid. Candidates can be 100% remote.

Project details (project overview, who the contractor will work with, soft skills needed, etc.): Career-Development position within field. Requires moderate skill sets and developing proficiency within discipline. Conducts tasks and assignments as directed. Works with minimal supervision with some latitude for independent judgment. Typically requires four to five years experience or equivalent education.
